To succeed in today’s evolving business environment, human resource and talent management professionals must stretch themselves in ways they never have before. It’s not enough to simply administer policies and process paperwork (no matter how effectively). Instead, HR and talent management leaders must clearly understand business objectives, assess organizational needs and capabilities, tie talent management programs to strategic outcomes, and serve as trusted advisers to top executives and line managers alike.

Even experienced HR and talent management professionals benefit from guidance and support as they work to meet these challenging expectations. To help, FlashPoint offers a yearlong HR peer group. During monthly virtual sessions we focus on essential competencies that forward-thinking HR and talent management leaders must master, offering expertise, facilitating application exercises, and leading group discussions to promote learning and growth.

As a participant in peer group you will:

  • Develop or refine important strategic competencies that can improve your personal performance and the success of your business
  • Learn how to innovate your HR programs and fully integrate them so you achieve organizational objectives
  • Advance your critical-thinking abilities so you can better assess and understand the environment in which you operate and shape your talent management approach accordingly
  • Build a network of like-minded colleagues who will provide insight and help you work through your challenges—both during the peer group experience and beyond. (We’ll team you with participants of similar background and experience to enhance collaboration.)

As part of the peer group experience you will receive:

  • A 90-minute virtual working session each month; an experienced FlashPoint facilitator will lead each session
  • An online resource kit with topics, worksheets, articles, HR tips and tools, and more
  • A copy of the book HR From the Outside In: Six Competencies for the Future of Human Resources
  • A 360-degree HR competency assessment that will help you measure the influence you have with key constituents across the organization; we’ll use the assessment results throughout the program to check on progress
  • Up to 15 strategic recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR, and GPHR recertification, plus an additional 3.5 credits for completing the 360-degree assessment
