Tips from the FlashPoint Team--HR Resolutions for the New Year!

It hardly seems possible, but 2010 is upon us--and of course the new year brings with it the customary attempts to improve oneself and turn over a new leaf. We asked FlashPoint's consultants for some ideas of good HR-related resolutions, and here is what they suggested (both in seriousness and in the spirit of fun):

  • I resolve to audit my I-9 files and make sure they're compliant.
  • I resolve to lead by example when it comes to wellness initiatives.
  • I resolve to get out of having to plan the company picnic each year.
  • I resolve to attend at least three professional development events in 2010.
  • I resolve to review our job descriptions for FLSA compliance and to make sure that they're up to date.
  • I resolve to build my own personal growth plan.
  • I resolve to improve our performance management program.
  • I resolve to finally convince the VP of sales that it is not appropriate for him to call his administrative assistant "his girl."

No matter what you end up resolving to do (or not to do), we at FlashPoint wish you success. May your holiday be joyful, and may you have good fortune in the new year!
