FlashPoint on Pace to Double New Client Business

Buys Remaining Shares from Barnes & Thornburg LLP and Maintains Ties

FlashPoint, one of Indiana’s largest human resource consulting firms, has added 26 new clients in 2010, putting it on track to double new client business this year as compared to 2009.

The Indianapolis-based firm is pursuing additional growth by purchasing the remaining shares of Barnes & Thornburg LLP’s business interest. This structural change gives FlashPoint’s principals and cofounders, Krista Skidmore and Andrea Cranfill, 100 percent ownership.

“FlashPoint and Barnes & Thornburg have gained great trust and confidence through our eight-year relationship,” said Skidmore. “We’ve supported each other’s clients successfully and look forward to continuing to do so now and in the future.”

“Barnes & Thornburg has supported FlashPoint in growing a successful business,” added Cranfill. “Our future plans include a line of streamlined services, entry into new markets and further staff additions.”

With 11 offices nationwide, Barnes & Thornburg is one of the country’s largest law firms. It will continue to maintain a mutually beneficial referral relationship with FlashPoint.

“We have been proud of our affiliation with FlashPoint over the years, having watched it grow from a small start-up company to a major player in the human resources consulting arena,” said Alan A. Levin, Barnes & Thornburg’s firm-wide managing partner. “We wish Andrea and Krista nothing but success in the next phase of their company’s life cycle. We will continue working with FlashPoint in the future when our clients are in need of HR consulting services.”

Since its inception in 2002, FlashPoint has grown to 10 full-time employees and served hundreds of clients while experiencing increased revenue every year. It recently moved to new office space to accommodate its growth and construct its own training facility. Leadership training and development is a large part of the FlashPoint service offering, alongside HR program development, compensation support, performance management and strategic planning.

FlashPoint’s partial client list includes American Health Network, Indianapolis Power and Light Company, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Midwest ISO, Riley Children’s Foundation, Roche Diagnostics, Rolls-Royce, Teachers Credit Union, Town of Plainfield, Vera Bradley and Weaver Popcorn. Recently added clients include Brightpoint, Cathedral High School, Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership, Indianapolis Airport Authority and WellPoint.
