Conflict Management
Overview
Conflict is present in every organization—at any level and at any given time. Now that work teams have become the organizational format of choice, it is not surprising that groups experience repeated disagreements and conflicts. Faced with a conflict situation, each of us has a preferred strategy that will produce varied results. The success of any given conflict strategy is the degree to which the parties’ goals are met. Every work team needs to take stock of how it is handling its disagreements and conflicts. In this session, participants will assess their effectiveness by learning various conflict-resolution strategies and how to choose the appropriate solution strategy based upon the specific conflict situation.
